Chief Executive Officer

Floris Wolswijk

MSc in Industrial & Organisational Psychology. Floris has started two companies before. In his student life, he was President of his Study Association and Director of a Student Strategy Consultancy. He participates in obstacle runs and has energy for two. Getting the right things done is what he gets up for in the morning.

Hi there, great that you are reading on.

So it all started back in 1990… just kidding. Two years ago (2014) I graduated from the Erasmus University Rotterdam with a masters degree in Psychology. To be more precise, Industrial & Organisational Psychology. I have a deep fascination with how people work and how I can make them work better.

At the same time, I like doing things myself, figuring out how to work on the go. So from the beginning of my studies I’ve started doing extracurricular activities. First in committees, then a full-time board position and even two small companies. In my opinion, you can only know how to do something if you’ve done it yourself.

Next to working on Queal full-time I’m blogging about leadership, management books and related topics on my own website (here). I love to go to the gym a couple of times a week. And binge-watching tv series is one of my biggest sins.

Onno Smits

MSc in Business Information Management from the Rotterdam School of Management. Onno loves technology and was President of the Automation Committee at his fraternity. In his free time, he designs an Indie game or goes out for runs. Solid reliability is what best describes Onno.

I received my master’s degree in Business Information Management from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam back in 2013. With an interest in business and a background in anything computer- and nerd-related, I was right in my element learning the intricacies of Business Information Management. I’m a deep thinking and analytical guy by nature, and my interests, such as predictive analytics, programming, physics, and really anything science-related reflect this.

Aside from this, I spend an exuberant amount of time watching TV-shows and movies, an addiction I hope I will never kick. Running, photography, and gaming (both of the video- and tabletop- variety) are also a large element in my life.

Once Queal is up on its feet, to travel the world is my next great ambition. After numerous years of great learning experiences, I still haven’t let go of my thirst for knowledge and especially experience.

General Manager

Kala Anaya

MA in Linguistics: Language and Communication. Kala is a former director of a theatre with two productions under her leadership (one musical). Directing has given her a lot of perspective in terms of communication and management. Kala is also an avid musician who plays the violin and guitar, which has strengthened her focus and discipline. She highly values creativity, which is very closely tied to her love of fantasy series and role-playing video games. Kala enjoys long walks in the woods with her partner and frequently travels through the USA (her home country) on road trips and other adventures.

Marketing Manager

Laurens Coumou

With a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Organisational Change & Consulting, Laurens has set his interests on the human part of organisations. There is no room for negativity in Laurens' life. With the motto 'Life is as fun as you make it', Laurens strongly believes in the possibility for every human being to be happy. He also strives to meet new people every week. In his free time, he plays guitar and piano, composes music every now and then, and roams the French Alps to become world's best snowboarding flying squirrel.

Community Manager

Lieke van Wilpen

Lieke has a bachelor’s degree in Lifestyle, from the Academy for Creative Industries. As a lifestyle expert, Lieke creates concepts based on consumers’ needs, because improving their quality of life is her main motivation in work. She’s specialized in the living environment and is well informed about developments in the food industry. Besides Queal, Lieke is the co-founder of her own agency in concept development and project management where she supports her clients in doing research analyses, setting up new businesses or creating new products and services.

Frisian Stabijhoun (Friese Stabij). Max has been with us since the summer of 2016. He brings happiness, joy and Dutch 'gezelligheid' (coziness) to the office. Isn't he just adorable?!
